Lampman Law was started without associates, paralegals, receptionists or any clients. The firm’s original goals were simple but ambitious, to help people with legal troubles, to earn enough money to get by, and to keep the lights on. With the help of God’s grace, and some good timing, we managed to stay open month by month; and more importantly, to help people. In the process, our foundation was laid, and we found our way. Within our first month, our way became helping people charged with serious criminal offenses. It was not, however, an easy way. In sum, the responsibility of representing the accused was and still is daunting. But, while learning how to use the law to help people, we also learned the principles to effective criminal defense – listening to the client, believing they have a chance, and working until our goal was met.
By following those principles, we kept the lights on and our first trial resulted in an acquittal. In that case, our client was charged with aggravated assault. He was accused of stabbing a man outside the “victim’s” home. After that trial, we achieved another acquittal for a man charged with assaulting several corrections officers at a state correctional institute. In those cases, closely listening to the clients and believing they could win made all the difference.
Eventually, the firm grew requiring us to relocated twice. Now, like when we started, our focus is helping people with legal troubles. Criminal defense remains the cornerstone of our practice; however, we now help people facing other legal problems. When Attorney Lenny Gryskewicz joined the firm, he started helping clients defend justice when their constitutional rights have been violated. Of course, Attorney Gryskewicz also aggressively defends the wrongfully accused.
If you are wrongfully accused of a crime or if your civil rights have been violated, Lampman Law can help you fight back, it’s what we’ve been doing since we started.
